START OF THE PROGRAM AND ITS INTERFACE

Operational environment Windows 98/2000 offers some methods of start of programs, each of which can be used depending on a situation and own habits. After program start on the screen the interface of the program serving by "control panel" by the program and giving all possibilities of editing of the document is deduced.

After successful installation of the program by the most accessible method of its start start by means of the main menu of operating system Windows is. Further it is possible to provide conditions for program start by other methods.

After installation of the program of adobe Illustrator it is necessary to open the main menu of operating system Windows 98/2000, pushing the button Start-up (Start) in the lower part of the screen. Then, sequentially moving the mouse pointer on uncovered submenu, to select a command of adobe Illustrator 9.0 and to click the mouse button.

As a rule, the command of start of the program of adobe Illustrator 9.0 is allocated in Adobe group (fig. 2.1).

In operational environment Windows 98/2000 "the desktop" metaphor on which computer documents and the programs displayed by special tags ? labels can be allocated is used.

Originally on this "desktop" standard tags ? My Computer (My computer) are allocated only. Network Neighborhood (Network neighborhood), Recycle Bin (Basket) and some other depending on the selected components at operating system setting.

On "desktop" it is very convenient to allocate permanently used programs or documents to launch them without reversal to main menu Windows, i.e. quickly enough.

For program layout on a desktop it is necessary to create a program label. One of methods is specified more low. 

For label creation it is necessary to click the right mouse button on a desktop empty seat, causing thereby the desktop shortcut menu (fig. 2.2).

In the shortcut menu it is necessary to select a command to Create (Create), and from the opened submenu ? a command the Label (Shortcut). The dialog box label Creation (Create Shortcut) (fig. 2.3) As a result opens.

In the field the Command line (Command line) it is necessary to enter a way and a title of the program or to push the button the Review (Browse) and in the dialog box with the same name to open a folder in which the file Illustrator.exe contains. This file it is necessary to select and push the button to Open (Open), and then in a dialog box label Creation (Create Shortcut) to push the button Further (Next).

In the opened dialog box the Choice of a title of the program (Select a name for the shortcut) it is necessary to enter the text which will be allocated under a label on a desktop (the label signature), for example, "Adobe Illustrator 9.0".

Click on the button It is ready (Finish) completes procedure of creation of a label on a desktop. Now for fast start of the program it is enough to click twice a program label.

Operating system Windows 98/2000 allows each program to deliver a key pattern which gives the chance to load the program in correspondence, without addressing to the menu. For assignment of such key pattern as one of simple methods it is possible to recommend the following.

It is necessary to select a program label on a desktop and to push the right mouse button. From the appeared shortcut menu to select the Property command (Properties). In the opened dialog box with the same name to pass to the tab the Label (Shortcut) (fig. 2.4).

Then it is necessary to click in the field the Keyboard shortcut (Shortcut key) and to push some keys, for example, [Ctrl] + [Alt] + [I]. In end it is necessary to push the button to Apply (Apply), and then the button APPRX.

Further Adobe Illustrator program will boot at pushing of the installed keyboard shortcut.

If Adobe Illustrator program is launched in the beginning of the working day and used then is continuous, it it is possible to "force" to boot automatically after switching-on of the computer and operational environment loading.

In this case the program label should be placed in a special folder Autoload (Startup). For this purpose it is necessary to fulfill following actions:

1. To open the main menu button click Start-up (Start).

2. To execute a command Adjustment (Settings), and then a command. A task bar (Taskbar).

3. In the opened dialog box of Property: the Task bar (Taskbar Properties) to select the tab menu Adjustment (Start Menu Programs) (fig. 2.5).

4. To push the button to Add (Add).

5. In the opened dialog box label Creation (Create Shortcut) to enter a way to the program or, pushing the button the Review (Browse), to find and select an executed file of the program.

6. In a dialog box label Creation (Create Shortcut) to push the button Further (Next).

As a result the dialog box a folder Choice (Select Program Folder) (fig. 2.6) from which in the main menu folder list it is necessary to select a folder Autoload (Startup) opens and to push the button Further (Next).

Then in the opened dialog box the Choice of a title of the program (Select a name for the shortcut) the program title, for example, "is necessary to enter Adobe Illustrator 9.0".

Click on the button It is ready (Finish) completes procedure of switching-on of a label of the program in a folder of automatic loading. Now every time after loading of operating system Windows 98/2000 will boot also Adobe Illustrator program.
