C the help of tool Free Transform (the Free transformation) it is possible to fulfill object reflection. For this purpose (Selection) is necessary by means of tool Selection (
) to select object (or objects), intended for reflection, to include tool Free Transform (Free transformation) (
) and, capturing an appropriate marker of a "dimensional" rectangle to stretch it through object (fig. 7.7).

Unfortunately, this method of reflection does not give possibility confidently to receive an exact copy of object.
Tool Reflect
Tool Reflect (Mirror) (
) fulfills function of a mirror which "reflects" objects according to the specified axis of reflection.
For realization of reflection of object in an interactive mode it is necessary to select object and to include tool Reflect (Mirror). Then it is necessary to click the mouse in one of points of a prospective axis of reflection, thus the cursor becomes an arrow.

Then to click in other point of a prospective axis, thereby unambiguously defining a reflection axis. The second click serves as a signal of end of action: the program fulfills reflection of the selected object concerning the conditional axis of reflection (fig. 7.8).
If instead of click to retain the mouse button and to move it it will be moved simultaneously and a reflection axis, and together with it and the selected object. When the object occupies demanded position, it is possible to release the mouse button.
Reflection with the given parameters
For performance of exact reflection (Mirror) follows double click on the button of tool Reflect (
) to cause dialog box Reflect (Mirror reflection) (fig. 7.9).

In this case the first point of an axis of reflection should be installed at a pushed key [Alt].
In a dialog box by means of switch Axis (Axis) it is possible to install a direction of an axis of the reflection transiting through the fixed point: Horizontal (Horizontal), Vertical (Vertical) or under the arbitrary corner which value is defined in the field Angle (At an angle).
The positive values of a corner provide reflection counter-clockwise, and negative ? clockwise.
If it is necessary to leave the source image on a place and to receive specularly reflected copy, it is necessary to push button Copy to (Copy).
Dialog box Reflect (Mirror reflection) can be displayed also by means of command Reflect (Mirror reflection) menu Object/Transform (Object/transformation).
